Rodrigo Cortes –ZHdK PROJECT  Opera statement-Opera sculpture MA INTEREACTION DESIGN What: The aim of this Project is the transformation of   objects that have relation with space   into a space sculpture or a set design. The manipulation is possible by the voice, by the singers pitch, vibration, and length of time. Movement would also be considered for this object´s transformation. Why: It would be a direct connection between object and singer. Singer itself could manipulate the set design so each set design would also be personalized for each tessitura, men and women. It could also give more freedom on performance, and it could be interesting in a creative way to discover by singing a specific aria or improvising how space would behave with the different variations of voice.

Needs:  interview with singers, directors and set designers in order to generate a better product for the interaction singer-sculpture and to bring out more ideas about the project and to generate a good platform for opera singers, and public.
